The boat is one party, the booking is another

Arfisyana is the boat. You will see it written as Arfisyana, Arfisyana Indah or Arfisyana Indah Phinisi, and all three mean the same wooden phinisi in Labuan Bajo, with five cabins and room for 20 guests.

Komodo Explorer arranges the charter. We take your headcount and dates, check the boat, send the invoice and look after the booking until you step off at the quay. We are the booking partner, not the boat's owner, and this site is ours.

We say it plainly because a group leader answers to a group, and a group asks who to call when something moves. The answer is on this page: for the booking, call us; for the weather and the sailing, the captain decides.

Crew first. Arfisyana's crew sails, anchors, cooks the meals and looks after the tender and the landings. Their decisions at sea, from the route order to the anchorage, are the captain's, and weather outranks any schedule we print.

Booking jobs sit with us. We quote the fare by headcount band, take the deposit that holds the date, send the pickup details the day before, and answer when your plans change. We also say when we do not know something.

Sometimes the two jobs meet at a landing or a quay, and the group leader sits between them. That is normal. The leader tells us the numbers; the crew tells the leader the conditions. Everyone else follows the leader.

Every number on this site has a source. Where two independent listings agree, we print the fact. Where they disagree, we print the cautious figure. When a detail matters to your group and the page does not give it, ask, and you get a written answer before any money moves.
