Five cabins, two kinds: who fits where on Arfisyana

Updated 8 November 2026

Komodo phinisi cabins for groups on Arfisyana come in two kinds: two Master Cabins and three Sharing Rooms with bunks for 4, 6 and 4. Five cabins hold 20 guests, 18 on standard beds, each with a private bathroom, AC and a sea-view window. The whole boat starts at IDR 40,000,000 (≈ USD 2,454).

Komodo phinisi cabins for groups: five rooms, two kinds

Five cabins, two kinds. The two Master Cabins have one double bed and take an extra bed on request, so each sleeps 2 or 3 guests. The three Sharing Rooms sleep on bunks: one for 4 on a double bunk bed, one for 6 on a double bunk bed plus a single bunk, and a third for 4 on bunk beds.

Every cabin has its own private bathroom, AC and a window onto the sea. In a Sharing Room your group shares the room, and the bathroom belongs to that room.

For a class, a team or a set of cousins that is the right trade. For a couple on honeymoon it is not.

The photos below show each room. Use them to match faces to beds, then draw the split with the who-sleeps-where guide.

Berth count: 18 standard beds, 20 with both extra beds

Count it first. The two Master Cabins hold 2 each on standard beds, which is 4. The Sharing Rooms hold 4, 6 and 4, which is 14. Together that makes 18 standard beds.

Now add the extra bed each Master Cabin takes on request. Two more beds, and the boat reaches 20 guests, the top of the 17-20 headcount band. The plan below gives the same count room by room.

Headcount: if your group has 17 to 20 guests, expect both extra beds in use. If it has 16 or fewer, fill the Sharing Rooms first and keep the Masters at 2 each. Then ask for an extra bed only where you need one.

The third Sharing Room is booked for 4 guests. Plan on four, whatever the photo makes you think.

Master Cabin: one double bed, one extra bed if you ask

Two Master Cabins. Each has a double bed, a bathroom of its own, AC and a window onto the sea. A third guest takes the extra bed, set up on request. Tell us which cabin needs it and we confirm the cost in writing before you pay.

Who sleeps here: chaperones and teachers on a school trip, a pair of grandparents in a family group, the team lead who wants a quieter night. Or the eldest cousin, because someone has to be sensible.

How you assign them is your call. Seniority, age, snoring or a lottery all work, and we do not need the reasoning. We need the names and the split by the time the name list is due.

A Master Cabin is the nearest this boat comes to a private room. It is still a cabin on a wooden phinisi, not a suite.

Sharing Rooms of 4, 6 and 4: bunks for students, teams and cousins

The three Sharing Rooms use bunk beds. The room for 4 has a double bunk bed, which is two double beds stacked. The room for 6 has a double bunk bed plus a single bunk bed. The third room has bunk beds and takes 4.

Students sleep well on bunks. So do teams on an outing and cousins who share a house at New Year. Pairs of friends take a double, and who gets the top bunk is a decision to make before the first night, not after.

We will not pretend the sharing rooms are private suites. They are bunk rooms with their own bathroom, AC and a window onto the sea, and for a group of up to 20 that is a fair deal. For privacy by couple, book a different boat.

Seasickness shifts the plan a little: guests who feel the sea do better on a lower bunk, with fresh air on deck before bed. The who-sleeps-where guide explains four ways to split 20.

AC and a sea-view window in each cabin, Wi-Fi from a local modem

All five cabins are air-conditioned, each with its window to the sea. After a day of climbing and snorkelling, the cool cabin is what the group will thank you for. If warm showers matter to someone in the group, ask us before you book and we answer in writing.

Wi-Fi comes from a local modem. It works where the signal reaches, and the signal depends on location, so plan the group chat around gaps between stops. A team that needs dependable internet at sea should choose a different boat, and it is better to know that now than at the quay.

If the AC hours, the bed widths, the cabin sizes or the deck of each room matter to your group, ask. You get the reply in writing before any money moves, ready to forward to whoever asked.

Covered by the one fare, and still on your own list

One fare covers the whole boat: all five cabins and Arfisyana's crew, three meals a day from the chef, drinking water, tea and coffee, snorkel gear, towels and life jackets. It also covers the driver to the port from wherever you sleep in town or land, and back at the end.

The group's own list holds the park package per head, tips for the crew, flights, hotels in town and drinks beyond water, tea and coffee. A guide or documentation comes on request, with its own quote. The group charter page sets out every line.

Rooms never appear on the extras list. There is no cabin supplement and no price per room, because the unit is the boat. If the extra bed in a Master Cabin changes anything, we say so in writing before you pay.

And if Arfisyana cannot sail on your dates, we move the group to a boat of equal or higher standard on those dates, or refund every rupiah within 2 days.

FAQ

What separates a Master Cabin from a Sharing Room, and who has a private bathroom?

A Master Cabin has one double bed and takes an extra bed on request, for 2 or 3 guests. A Sharing Room uses bunks and holds 4, 6 or 4 guests. Both kinds of cabin share the same basics: private bathroom, AC and a sea-view window.

What do the cabins have: AC, a real window, Wi-Fi?

Every cabin has air conditioning, a sea-view window and a private bathroom. Ask us the hours the AC runs and the shower setup; the reply comes in writing ahead of payment. Wi-Fi comes from a local modem, and the signal depends on location, so do not plan a video call at sea.

Can we add an extra bed to a Master Cabin?

Yes, one extra bed per Master Cabin, on request. It takes the cabin from 2 guests to 3, and the two extra beds together take the boat from 18 beds to 20. Tell us which cabin needs one and we confirm the cost in writing before you pay.

How do 20 guests sleep in five cabins?

Three guests in each Master Cabin with the extra beds makes 6. The Sharing Rooms then take 4, 6 and 4, which makes 14. Six plus fourteen is 20. Without the extra beds the boat has 18 standard beds, so a group of 19 or 20 should request them early.
