Labuan Bajo group trip on Arfisyana: you rent the whole phinisi, and one fare covers up to 20 guests. On the 3D2N route the boat costs IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067) for 1-4 guests and IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) for 17-20. A full boat of 20 pays IDR 3,500,000 (≈ USD 215) each, before the park package.
Labuan Bajo group trip, priced by headcount: five bands, one boat
You rent Arfisyana whole, so the fare belongs to the boat and never to a cabin. Five headcount bands set it: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16 and 17-20 guests. The table below gives the 3D2N band by band, with each guest's share at the top of every band.
Cost per head: a full boat pays the lowest share, and every empty bed raises it a little. The park package per head, tips and flights sit outside that share. A guide or someone to film the trip comes on request, with a quote of its own.
The one-day, 2D1N and 4D3N routes use the same five bands. The group charter page holds all four routes and the split at every headcount from 2 to 20, so the sums live in one place and you only check them once.
| Guests | per boat | per person |
|---|---|---|
| 1–4 | IDR 50,000,000 (≈ USD 3,067) | IDR 12,500,000 |
| 5–8 | IDR 55,000,000 (≈ USD 3,374) | IDR 6,880,000 |
| 9–12 | IDR 60,000,000 (≈ USD 3,681) | IDR 5,000,000 |
| 13–16 | IDR 65,000,000 (≈ USD 3,988) | IDR 4,060,000 |
| 17–20 | IDR 70,000,000 (≈ USD 4,294) | IDR 3,500,000 |
Rooming plan for 20: 6 in the Masters, 14 in the bunk rooms
Five cabins, each with its own bathroom, AC and a window to the sea. The two Master Cabins have a double bed and take an extra bed on request: 3 guests each, 6 together. The three Sharing Rooms sleep 4, 6 and 4 on bunks: 14 together. Six and fourteen make the full 20. Without the extra beds the boat counts 18 standard beds.
Put the chaperones, teachers, grandparents or the team lead in the Masters. Put students, colleagues and cousins in the bunks. We will not pretend the sharing rooms are private suites, and a couple wanting their own closed room should look at another boat.
Draw the split on paper before anyone argues about it in the group chat. The plan below shows which beds sit in which room.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps | with extra bed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Master Cabin | 2 | 1 double bed + 1 extra bed on request (2 to 3 guests) | 4 | 6 |
| Sharing Room for 4 | 1 | Double bunk bed: two double beds stacked (4 guests) | 4 | 4 |
| Sharing Room for 6 | 1 | Double bunk bed + single bunk bed (6 guests) | 6 | 6 |
| Third Sharing Room | 1 | Bunk beds (4 guests) | 4 | 4 |
| Berths in total | 5 | 18 | 20 |
Route and pace: sail at 11:00, climb Padar at dawn, dock near noon on day three
Meeting point: the hotel lobby or airport arrivals, from 10:00 to 11:00. The anchor comes up at 11:00. Day one brings a hill walk on Kelor, the first snorkel off Manjarite, and Kalong at dusk while the bats leave the mangroves. Dinner is at anchor.
Day two is the long one. Pace: the Padar climb takes 30 to 45 minutes, so the group needs shoes with grip, a hat and a litre of water per head. Take the water break at the top, count heads, then walk down together. After breakfast the boat moves to Pink Beach, then Komodo Island with a ranger, and a snorkel each at Taka Makassar and Manta Point.
Day three is a Kanawa snorkel and breakfast, then the quay near 12:00. Book flights home for the late afternoon or later. The 3D2N page has the full run, stop by stop.

Group leader's checklist: ID list, park package per head, deposit
One person carries the group. These are that person's jobs, and none of them needs a spreadsheet:
- Fix the headcount band and the dates, then hold them with a deposit of 50 percent.
- Pay the balance 30 days before sailing.
- Send one name list, spelled as on passports or ID, about a week before sailing.
- Collect the park package per head from every guest, on top of the boat share.
- Name one contact for the group, so the boat team talks to a single phone.
Collect the shares early and keep a written receipt for each head. A group of 20 divides well and argues badly, so write down who owes what before the first message goes out.
Who books the whole boat: classes, alumni, teams and cousins
A school class on a study tour, a graduating year, an alumni reunion, a company team, a community club, three generations of one family. For this boat they look alike: one group, one leader, one headcount.
The details differ. Classes need bunks and a chaperone plan. Alumni and cousins want long evenings on the sun deck. A team that wants three days away from the phone should know that the local Wi-Fi modem works only where the signal reaches.
Each occasion has its own page, written for the person who has to organise it. Open the one closest to your group and skim the rest. They share the fare bands and the rooming plan, and they differ in pace, paperwork and who signs for the money.
Where the 3D2N stops, day by day, and Sebayur on four days
The 3D2N makes nine stops. On day one: Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong. On day two: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. On day three: Kanawa, then the quay.
Eight of those nine have a page of their own in the grid below. Manjarite, a short first snorkel, is covered on the route page. The ninth tile is Sebayur, which joins only on the four-day sample route.
Two stops ask real legwork: Padar and the ranger walk on Komodo Island. Four are for snorkelling. The sea and the captain set the order on the day, and each stop page gives the pace, the kit and what a group of 20 should expect.
- Padar at dawn, and how 20 people climb it
- Pink Beach: land, swim, count
- The Komodo Island walk, with a ranger in front
- Manta Point: the current has the last word
- Taka Makassar: a sandbar on the tide's clock
- Kalong: twenty guests, one deck, a sky of wings
- Kelor: the first hill, a rehearsal for Padar
- Sebayur: the fourth-day stop
- Kanawa: one last snorkel, then the quay
Company reviews of Komodo Explorer, sourced line by line
Every quote here reviews Komodo Explorer, the booking company behind this charter. They come from guests on Komodo Explorer trips in general, not only on Arfisyana, and each carries its source beside it.
Read them for how the booking was handled: the replies, the pickup, the changes, the money. The boat's own facts sit on the vessel and cabins pages, and reviews of Arfisyana trips join this block as groups write them, with the same kind of source line.
Then check the company details in the box further down. A quote tells you how a trip felt. The registration number tells you who takes your deposit and who answers the phone when something changes.
Reviews of Komodo Explorer, the booking company (not of this boat)
“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”
“Loved the experience — the team and crew are the best.”
“Pink Beach was our favourite spot — the pink sand against that crazy blue water. On the anjungan (front deck) we got gorgeous photos with the sail and open sea behind us.”
“We watched the most gorgeous sunset while thousands of flying foxes (kalong) started flying above us against the orange sky. The crew knew exactly where to position the boat for the best view.”

Rooms in town the night before: hotels that fit 20 guests
Arrive in Labuan Bajo the evening before you sail. Flights run late, and a group of 20 cannot catch up the way one traveller can. A night in town also gives you a calm evening to count heads and shoes.
The hotels page lists properties with rooms for a group near the harbour. Every hotel on it is a Komodo Explorer partner, and we book the rooms for you alongside the boat. Pickup from the hotel to the port, and back at the end, is part of the charter.
Tell us the hotel name when you book. The pickup time and the driver's contact reach you in writing the day before sailing. If the group needs a minibus on another day, we quote it per vehicle, not per person.
Fit check, then three WhatsApp messages to hold your dates
Run the fit check before you pay for anything. This is the wrong boat for one traveller, for a couple and for friends who want private rooms without bunks. A party of more than 20 does not fit either: this boat takes 20. Send the headcount and dates and we tell you what can be arranged.
If the fit is right, three WhatsApp messages hold your dates. Message one: headcount, dates and length. Message two: we confirm the band, and you pay the deposit. Message three: the name list.
We check dates live on WhatsApp, as of 8 November 2026. The booking company is PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, and its registration number and hours sit in the box below.

FAQ
What does one person pay on the boat, and what comes on top?
Each guest pays a share of the whole-boat fare: the band fare divided by your headcount, which is lowest when all 20 beds are full. On top come the park package per head, tips, flights and hotels, plus the card fee if you pay by card link. Guide and documentation are on request, quoted apart.
How many guests share the boat with us?
None besides your own group. The charter is private, so the boat carries up to 20 guests from your party and nobody else. Standard beds number 18, and 20 with the extra bed in each Master Cabin. A different group cannot be added to your boat, whatever the empty beds.
Our group is larger than 20. What do we do?
This boat takes 20 guests at most, and we do not squeeze in more. Send the full headcount and your dates on WhatsApp, and the reservation team tells you what can be arranged for a party of your size. Nothing is promised until it is confirmed in writing.
How much does a Komodo trip for a group cost?
The fare depends on the route and the headcount band. The smallest charter is the one-day trip for 1-4 guests at IDR 40,000,000 (≈ USD 2,454), and the 3D2N table on this page gives every band for three days. Divide by your headcount for each share, then add the park package per head.
